All of you who follow my blog know, I truly love to cook. I’m going to post a few recipes for which you will need my own Five-Spice Blend.

This is one of countless curry blends. In case you did not know this, curry is not just one single spice — it’s a blend of many. To those of you who hate regular curry, try this.

It’s made up of equal parts of coriander, cumin, cayenne, turmeric and paprika.  In the photo, it’s approximately 1 tablespoon of each. The small plastic container is perfect for storage. You can be liberal with this in seasoning your dishes. It is great in rice or roasted meats, to name just two families of culinary delights.

I’ve presented this palette to my interior design clients who’ve expressed interest in a warm approach to their environment. It’s most effective to demonstrate a color or a combination of colors. But if all else fails, they do have my blend to take away.
