The stone materials used in my kitchen are very colorful. The countertop is dark blue with gray and purple streaks. The backsplash was custom cut for me. It is called Botticcino. I chose to install it in a 2- x 3-inch brick bond. The floor is 12- x 12-inch Brazilian graded and honed slate tile in a color called autumn. The collective effect of the stone provides the color pallette for the room. As I mentioned yesterday, the least expensive part of my project was the stone itself. The contractor who installed it all in five days for me was another matter (ouch).
